The highest PPV was observed for the LMR (89.9%), which makes this predictor the best for screening patients for infection, while monocyte counts followed by the NLR, AAR, and CRP concentrations had the best NPV (83.5%, 78.7%, 75.9%, and 75%, respectively); therefore, they are able to exclude infection in patients (see Table 4).
