Specific to BLCA, although previous findings demonstrated that some immune cells, such as CD3+ tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), CD8+ cytotoxic T cells (CTLs), CD68+ TAM [27], and foxp+ regulatory T cells (Treg) [28], and stromal cells play a vital role in the development of BLCA, few studies have integrated multiple immunological factors into single scores to analyze the significance of immune/stroma-related genes in estimation of the prognosis of BLCA. This evidence concerns the gene CD68 and bladder transitional cell carcinoma.
