In the treatment of lung cancer, cinobufacin injection mainly suppresses cancer cells by regulating key genes of receptor tyrosine kinase-related pathways, such as the VEGFA, EGFR, AKT1, mTOR, and MAPK1 pathways; however, its regulation on CXCL8, which promotes distant metastasis of cancer cells, is weak. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and lung carcinoma.
