Alterations in c-MET, the overactivation of which leads to activation of MAPK, PI3K/Akt and STAT pathways, correlates with high grade, invasiveness and poor prognosis in CCA [93,94], and its inhibition promoted autophagy in lung cancer cells [95], further linking c-MET-mediated autophagy inhibition in carcinogenesis.
