NFKB1 and systemic lupus erythematosus: Given the fact that specific signaling pathways including NF-κB were upregulated and hyper-activated in murine lupus B cells [37], and curcumin is able to suppress NF-κB and several other proinflammatory signaling axes, we hypothesize that curcumin could potentially ameliorate disease in mouse models with immune mediated nephritis.
