The MXD3 plays important regulatory roles in physiological processes such as cellular proliferation and differentiation and mutations in MXD3 are associated with tumorigenesis, i.e. leukaemia and medulloblastomas (Barisone et al., 2012; Ngo, Barisone, Lam, & Daz, 2014; Ngo et al., 2019; Satake et al., 2014, 2016).
