My two completed translational research projects are the first to provide comprehensive pharmacological and molecular mechanistic studies on two groups of therapeutics: a fetal estrogen named estetrol that is currently evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of breast cancer, prostate cancer and use in hormone replacement therapy and estrogen mimics named Selective Human Estrogen Receptor Partial Agonists (BM1-135 and TTC-352) that are currently evaluated in clinical trials for the treatment of endocrine-resistant breast cancer. Here, ESR1 is linked to breast cancer.
