ALDH3A1 was reported to be significantly upregulated in HCC and adenoma, resulting in the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway and CTNNB1 mutations, and ALDH3 may slow the growth of HCC cells and inhibit the formation of aldehydes derived from lipid peroxidation 102, 103. This evidence concerns the gene ALDH3A1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
