RHOA and Huntington disease: Figure 8A shows that the EI of MDM from patients with SSc, an autoimmune fibrotic disease associated with SiO2 exposure, was decreased in comparison with the EI of MDM from HD. This impairment of efferocytosis in SSc MDM was similar to the decrease of efferocytosis induced by an in vitro exposure to SiO2 in HD MDM. Moreover, EI of SSc MDM was partially restored after treatment by Y27632 (Figure 8B), suggesting that inhibiting RhoA/ROCK pathway may also improve efferocytosis in SSc.
