CD19 and leukemia: Both, cord blood-derived and primary human NK cells engineered with a CD19 CAR and additionally with IL-15, to enhance the NK cell activity, as well as inducible caspase-9 (iCas9) as suicide mechanism showed extended persistence and improved anti-leukemia/lymphoma activity in an ongoing clinical phase I/IIa trial (principle investigator: K. Rezvani) at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, USA.
