In 2015, the Asian Cancer Research Group (ACRG) proposed another molecular classification associated with clinical outcome and defined GC as four distinct molecular subtypes: microsatellite instability (MSI), microsatellite stable with epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition features (MSS/EMT), MSS/TP53 mutant (MSS/TP53+), and MSS/TP53 wild type (MSS/TP53–) [5]. Here, TP53 is linked to gastric cancer.
