Immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays showed PROM2 was overexpressed in clinical pancreatic cancer tissues comparison to adjacent pancreatic tissues (Fig. 1e), which led to poor overall survival and disease-free survival in the same cohort of cancer samples (P < 0.001; P < 0.001; n = 93, Fig. 1f). The gene discussed is PROM2; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
