CD8A and neoplasm: Here, increasing numbers of cores demonstrated positive, but variable correlations in each tumor region: tumoral CD3: 1 core, R = 0.34 vs. 6 cores, R = 0.35 (moderate correlation); marginal CD3: 1 core, R = 0.16 vs. 6 cores, R = 0.14 (weak correlation), respectively; tumoral CD8: 1 core, R = 0.41 vs. 6 cores (moderate correlation), R = 0.46; marginal CD8: 1 core, R = 0.60 vs. 6 cores, R = 0.69 (strong correlation), respectively; however, determination of T cell density using six cores resulted in the highest correlation between quantification methods (versus 1–5 cores; Figure 4).
