In glioblastoma, liver cancer and bladder cancer cell lines, GA binding protein transcription factor subunit alpha (GABPA) as in a heteromeric complex with GABPB1, binds to the de novo E-twenty-six (ETS) binding sites created by the TERT promoter mutations (Figure 6C) in cooperation with in-proximity native sites [135].
