CYP2B6 and acute myeloid leukemia: In a study of the CYP2B6 c.516G>T polymorphism in 80 patients with AL (44 patients with ALL, 36 patients with AML) and 100 healthy controls, Berkoz and Yalin (2009) found that the GT genotype was significantly associated with AL (OR = 2.481, p = .003); thus, indicating that GT genotypes may be an important genetic marker of AL.
