CXCL9 and colitis: Lastly, we observed equivalence in pro-inflammatory myeloid cells in EC-restricted Mbd2 deficient colitis, but increased Mbd2−/− CEC expression of T-cell chemokine Cxcl9. It is possible that the increased colitis severity evident in global Mbd2−/− vs. CD11cΔMbd2 or VillinΔMbd2 mice was due to the additive pathology of IFN-γ+ T-cell recruitment driven by Mbd2-deficient ECs.
