CD4 and sarcoidosis: A proportion of CD4+ Vα2.3+ T-cells in BALF > 10.5% was found to be highly specific for sarcoidosis, with a specificity of 97% but with a sensitivity of 36% (p < 0.0001), calculated on all 749 sarcoidosis patients, including LS as well as non-LS patients, and 108 controls.
