CRP and cardioembolic stroke: In the multivariate analysis, Treg levels at 72 h (B: -648.9; 95% CI: − 1251.2 to − 46.8; p = 0.035), but not at 48 h (B: -545.4; 95% CI: − 1036.5 to 291.6; p = 0.199) were independently associated with the infarct volume after adjustment by age, previous history of hypertension, dyslipemia, atrial fibrillation, leukocyte counts, glucose and fibrinogen levels, high-sensitive C-reactive protein levels, basal NIHSS and cardioembolic stroke.
