The mTOR signaling is mainly activated through the PI3K‐AKT‐mTOR pathway, and was found to be associated with high grade tumors (G3‐G4) and advanced disease (stage III) of lung cancer.45 Accordingly inhibitors of PI3K signaling have been suggested as potential therapeutic agents in NSCLC.46, 47 Some studies have found that PI3K‐AKT‐mTOR may negatively regulate the classic WNT signaling pathway through the downstream effector GSK3β.48, 49 The relationship between circ‐IGF1R and key factors such as GSK3β may also be worth exploring in the future. Here, GSK3B is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
