Considering previous studies on the role of interferon and interleukin genes in the pathogenesis of CD disease and the lack of information about the expression levels of these biomarkers in Iranian celiac patients, we evaluated the effects of serum cytokine levels of IL-1, IL-6, IL-8, and IFN-γ in individuals with CD as compared to healthy individuals as the control group. The gene discussed is IL6; the disease is Cowden disease.
