When the optimal cutoff values were determined by ROC curve analysis of all macaques (Fig. 3C), the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value for LRG in discriminating macaque TB were 100%, 100%, 100% and 100%, respectively, which were superior to those for ESR (55.0%, 90.0%, 84.6% and 66.7%, respectively) or those for CRP (50.0%, 95.0%, 90.9% and 65.5%, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and tuberculosis.
