JUNB and cancer: In 2002, Heikinheimo et al investigated the expression of 588 cancer‐related genes in ameloblastoma patients.22 They showed increased expression of the activating protein‐1 (AP‐1) family of transcription factors (FOS, c‐fos proto‐oncogene; JUNB, jun B proto‐oncogene) and extracellular matrix (ECM)‐related genes (MMP12, MMP 13, and COL8A1).
