This was improved to some extent in islets from the STZ/HFD-32 fed mice treated with R-Tf-D-LP4 at the steatosis stage (Figure 6A), but was completely restored in R-Tf-D-LP4 peptide-treated animals at the NASH stage, where the glucagon stained α-cells were localized as expected around the edge of the islet (Figure 6B). The gene discussed is GCG; the disease is steatosis.
