YAP negatively regulated inflammatory signaling [29] and knockdown of YAP reversed cytoprotective of naringin on ox-LDL-induced HUVECs, which suggest that YAP is a positive modulator in atherosclerosis; however, YAP knockdown attenuated the disturbed flow induction of endothelial cells proliferation and inflammation [32], which indicate that YAP is a negative regulator in atherosclerosis.
