INS and myocardial infarction: Participant 201701 expressed “...there was no concern until their father had a heart attack.” Participant 201703 stated the following: “...then I went to the doctor and they told me that my sugar level was high and that if I didn't do something that I was probably going to be diabetic; so that made me feel like OK, I need to get things in check.” When Participant 201702 saw their family member having to take insulin injections, this was the turning point for them to say “...that was something that I said I do not ever want to have to do...” (see Figure 3).
