Interestingly, PLACT1 was overexpressed in various human cancers, including gallbladder cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, and stomach cancer (Additional file 4: Figure S2a-h), from the TCGA database, and was associated with poor prognosis in mesothelioma and liver hepatocellular cancer (Additional file 4: Figure S2i-l), further supporting the oncogenic role of PLACT1. In conclusion, PLACT1 serves as an important oncogene and is associated with poor clinical outcome of PDAC. Here, TNFRSF10A-DT is linked to gastric neoplasm.
