The comparison of average beta value in tumor samples, and matched normal samples, indicates significant alterations in DNA methylation and mRNA expression in the HIGD2A gene in diverse cancer: Breast Invasive Carcinoma (BRCA), Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSC), Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma (KIRC), Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma (LIHC), Lung Adenocarcinoma (LUAD), Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma (PAAD), Prostate Adenocarcinoma (PRAD), and Rectum Adenocarcinoma (READ) (Figure 5). This evidence concerns the gene HIGD2A and invasive breast carcinoma.
