In another study, Zhou et al. (78) constructed tumor-activatable oxaliplatin prodrug vesicles, MPV-HOAD, and found that MPV-HOAD induced immunogenic cell death when combined with anti-CD47 antibody treatment and enhanced tumor immunogenicity; MPV-HOAD also induced the maturation of antigen presenting cells, thereby activating an anti-tumor immune response and effectively inhibiting the growth of both primary and abscopal tumors. Here, CD47 is linked to neoplasm.
