A knockdown of FOXD2-AS1 inhibits papillary thyroid cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, the cancer stem cell-like phenotype, and anoikis resistance in vitro; promotes apoptosis; and hinders tumorigenesis in vivo (Zhang et al., 2018; Jiang et al., 2019; Liu et al., 2019).
