In a recent study, Nakamura et al. reported that the number of metastatic organs is a prognostic factor affecting the survival after failure of first‐line EGFR‐TKI therapy.13 They suggested that a lower number of metastatic organs may reflect a higher degree of tumor shrinkage and a lower tumor burden and lead to a better prognosis. The gene discussed is EGFR; the disease is neoplasm.
