For example, even in the “healthy” aging adipose tissues, we observed elevated inflammation gene expression (e.g., CDKN2A, IL4R, TGFB1, and PTPN22 in CAGs and TNFS4F in the HSAGs), and it has been noticed that obesity‐related chronic low‐grade inflammation is responsible for the decrease of insulin sensitivity (L. Chen, Chen, Wang, & Liang, 2015). The gene discussed is PTPN22; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
