This study found that a panel of seven biomarkers related to endothelial dysfunction (MR‐ProADM, syndecan (SDC) 1, thrombomodulin (THBD), angiopoietin (ANGPT) 2, endothelial cell‐specific molecule 1, vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 and E‐selectin) were associated with the presence of sepsis in patients with infection. This evidence concerns the gene SDC1 and Sepsis.
