In line with the oncogenic role of these genes, we observed a decrease in proliferation of H226 cells when either PDGFRB or COL1A1 were inhibited, additive to the effect achieved with GAS6 downregulation alone (Fig. 6c–e and Supplementary Fig. 9B–D), supporting the existence of a SWINGN-dependent oncogenic hub in this cancer type. This evidence concerns the gene GAS6 and cancer.
