Consistent with the observation that aggressive HER2+ breast cancers and TNBCs are associated with disparate patterns of SLX4IP and TERT expression (Fig 5), we found that different human breast cancer cell lines also show varying patterns of SLX4IP and TERT expression (Fig 7A), suggesting that the interplay between SLX4IP and TERT expression in human breast cancers is linked to TMM identity and drug sensitivity in a manner reminiscent of D2.OR cells. This evidence concerns the gene SLX4IP and breast carcinoma.
