METTL3 and cancer: METTL3, an S‐adenosyl methionine‐binding protein with methyltransferase capacity, is the key component of the human methyltransferase complex which regulate the abundance and distribution of m6A modifications at the transcriptome level.13 The METTL3‐mediated m6A modifications have been proven to be involved in the development and progression of different types of cancer.
