The methyltransferase‐like 3 (METTL3) is the key component of m6A methyltransferase complex, has shown fundamental significance in diverse biological processes, such as spermatogenesis, embryogenesis, and neurodevelopment.7, 8, 9 Consistent with its important biological function, METTL3 is emerging as a key molecular affecting tumorigenesis cancer progression in a variety of cancers,10 including HCC,11 but few studies have made attempt to elucidate the relationship between METTL3 and glucose metabolism in HCC. The gene discussed is METTL3; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
