CYP3A4 is the most abundant P450 and is responsible for the metabolism of about 50 % of clinically used drugs.1b, 8a It also plays important roles in the regulation of endogenous steroids, the main component of hormones.9 CYP19A1, also known as steroid aromatase, mainly converts androgens into estrogens and is therefore involved in the pathological progress of estrogen‐dependent diseases, such as breast and ovary cancers.10 Downregulation of CYP19A1’s activity has been deemed as a promising strategy for treating such diseases.11 Here, CYP19A1 is linked to ovarian cancer.
