TNFRSF1A and infection: Next, we extracted the specific genes with both the highest response (up- or downregulation) and unique (exclusively expressed) within each comparison (see Supplementary Data 1 for the complete list of genes; Supplementary Tables S2–S8 and Supplementary Note 2 for Summary of the top differentially expressed genes), concluding that most of the genes implicated in the bidirectional communication brain-infection belong to TNFR-I signaling pathway and encoding of ligands and receptors specific of immune/myeloid cells.
