Activated AMPK inhibits mTOR and further inhibits protein synthesis, cell proliferation, cell cycle progression, and angiogenesis (Jalving et al., 2010).This study found that the expression of AKT3 is associated with these pathways, suggesting that AKT3 may participate in important processes such as cell proliferation and apoptosis through these pathways, ultimately affecting the biological behavior of tumor cells. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and neoplasm.
