As depicted in Fig. 3A,B (and in Supplementary Table 1), co-implantation of DDR1b- or DDR2-expressing HT1080 cells with COL1, resulted in the formation of tumours that grew significantly faster than those generated by cells without DDR1b or DDR2 induction (p < 0.001 for both receptors), demonstrating a pro-tumorigenic effect of DDRs and COL1 on HT1080 xenografts. The gene discussed is DDR2; the disease is neoplasm.
