Furthermore, salivary secretions, collected from patients with active psoriasis and healthy control subjects, were investigated for expression of interleukin (IL)-1b, IL-6, transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1, IL-8, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interferon (IFN)-χ, IL-17A, IL-4, IL-10, monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP)-1, microphage inflammatory protein (MIP)-1a, and MIP-1b using a Multi-Analyte ELISArray Kit (Qiagen, Venlo, the Netherlands). This evidence concerns the gene CCL2 and psoriasis.
