In addition, in the datasets we analyzed, the overexpression of snoRNA63 is detectable in half of the EIF4A2 overexpressing LUSC patients and in about one fourth of the HNSC patients, suggesting that co-expression of the host gene and the intronic snoRNA is not co-regulated, and implying a possible, still unexplored, role for SNORA63 overexpression in cancer. The gene discussed is SNORA63; the disease is cancer.
