PNPLA3 and liver disorder: Strikingly, we found that PNPLA3 expression increased during the progression of liver disease from mild to severe fibrosis (Figure 2A), with higher amount for the G/G variant compared to the C/C (Figure 2A, F1: C/C vs G/G from 2.7 ± 0.2 to 4.04 ± 0.32, P < .01; F4: C/C vs G/G from 3.9 ± 0.18 to 5.4 ± 0.39; P < .05).
