NFKB1 and fatty liver disease: Dietary choline supplementation could increase hepatic adiponectin content and expression of lipolysis pathway genes, and reduce expression of lipogenesis pathway genes, promoting a lipid-lowering effect, and restoring lipid metabolism balance, and reducing hepatic steatosis and, subsequently, attenuating inflammation by modulating NF-κB signalling molecules to suppress pro-inflammatory genes and increasing expression of anti-inflammatory genes.
