CD44 and cholangiocarcinoma: The result from intrahepatic CCA showed that a high expression of CD44 or the positive expression of CD44v6, and CD44v8-10 was significantly correlated with a shorter RFS compared with samples showing a low expression (p = 0.007, p = 0.017 and p < 0.001, respectively), while a high expression of EpCAM and ALDH1A1 was significantly correlated with a favorable prognosis in patients (p = 0.028 and p = 0.008) (Fig. 2).
