Previous studies revealed that mTOR, HOXA1, and IGFBP1 were targeted by miR-99a in breast cancer (14–16); FGFR3 was targeted by miR-99a in bladder cancer (29); in the present study, we identified FGFR3 as a direct target of miR-99a in breast cancer for the first time. This evidence concerns the gene MTOR and breast carcinoma.
