Regarding anticancer activities of pure SA in human prostate cancer cells, it was associated with increase in the expression of Bax, caspase-3, -8, FAS, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP-1), cytochrome c, and cadherin (CDH) 1 in PC-3 cells as well as increase in expression of caspase-3, -7, cytochrome c and Bax in LNCaP cells. Here, CASP3 is linked to prostate cancer.
