The fructose content of the diet did not alter the hepatic expression of monosaccharide transporters (Slc2a2 and Slc2a5), DNL‐related enzymes (Acacb, Elovl6, Fasn and Scd1), and Mttp1 in males; of the glycolysis‐related enzymes (AldoB, Gapdh, Tkfc, and Tpi) only AldoB expression was significantly higher in HF‐F males than in HF‐G males. This evidence concerns the gene FASN and hydrops fetalis.
