MTG2 and carcinoma: Mutations in the promoter and/or 5′ UTR of MTG2 (which encodes a GTPase involved in the mitochondrial ribosome) were associated with an expression of MTG2 that was marginally significantly lower, in both the pan-cancer (P = 0.036, fold difference = 0.8) and carcinoma (P = 0.029, fold difference = 0.8) meta-cohorts (Extended Data Figs. 4a, 5a).
