The vast majority of PID-N genes (90/93, including the 19 CGC genes) are distinct from the PCAWG Drivers and Functional Interpretation Working Group analysis (Fig. 2b; Supplementary Figs. 8b, 9), with only three genes in common: TERT, HES1, and TOB1. Of these three, only TERT is recorded as a known cancer gene in the CGC database. Here, TOB1 is linked to cancer.
