Interestingly, TMJ damage was not observed upon K/BxN serum transfer, an acute arthritis model11 (see Supplementary Table 1), suggesting that alterations in this articulation require longer exposure to autoantibodies, such as anti-glucose-6-phosphate isomerase autoantibodies, as described by Tanaka-Watanabe et al.39 This evidence concerns the gene GPI and arthritic joint disease.
